Those who know nothing of foreign languages, know nothing of their own.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
While it is maintained that all languages are intrinsically of equal worth, our vision is to support the continuation of Italian maintenance programs, encourage the acquisition of the Italian language as a second language in the Illawarra and recognise it as a valued resource and part of our cultural heritage
The Illawarra Association of Teachers of Italian (I.A.T.I.) provides a range of specific linguistic and cultural activities that support and enhance the work of teachers and students of the Italian language and culture.
Study at any level, from beginner
to advanced.
Our Italian courses are designed to develop and promote communication skills through listening, speaking, reading and writing. Courses are designed for those who would like to gain a basic understanding of Italian or improve their Italian skills further.
Classes are held for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
